This little fellow doesn’t have a name yet as I have heard.

But the story of how he came into the world started one day when I was sick and my husband went to a Dai Ki Haku martial arts training session on his own. My instructor and he started talking about the fact that I make pony plushies, and I think that was probably when he came home with a commission.

I then had a chat conversation with Jacob about what he wanted, and almost every new idea and fabric sample I suggested was exactly what Jacob was looking for.

When the day finally came and the little fellow was ready, I carefully hid him in my bag and sneaked into the dojo. I waited until Jacob was alone and then handed him over.

I tapped him on the shoulder and held out the bag. When he opened it, I saw his eyes light up — almost like a little child who had just been given something truly special.

He said the little fellow had to come to work with him and sit there keeping an eye on his tool cart.

He is made from minky fabrics and faux fur.

This is my first time making Lyra. She has found a sweet girl, Dea in Denmark to party with and to share some of the stories I have given her.

Creating her was the wildest project I have done to date. I bought an embroidery machine for her eyes, mouth, nose, and cutie mark. My partner in crime drew the cutie mark for me.
